The Show follows the Classic Structure of the Courtroom Drama that is familiar to us all, from Film, Theatre and Television - and, in some cases, from Personal Experience!
Witnesses are called and are questioned and cross-examined by the Counsels. The Jury (12 members of the Audience) give their verdict on the Evidence put before them. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Well, it is. As the best things usually are.
The Cast is Peter Wear, John Voce, Paul Rogan and Natalie Haverstock with regular Special Guests Suki Webster and Phil Whelans.

|
COURT IN THE ACT! has played extended runs at the GATE Theatre, Notting Hill, the MINERVA at the Festival Theatre, Chichester, the PALACE Theatre, Watford, the CANAL CAFÉ Theatre and at Festivals around the country. The Company represented Great Britain at IMPROV 2005, the International Improv. Festival in Berlin and opened the SPIKEFEST COMEDY FESTIVAL at the Brockley Jack, London, selling out both performances.

The REVIEWS (which say it all!)
|
FLAWLESS LAW SPOOF IS COURTING SUCCESS. A brilliant idea ... six talented actors ... a madcap court case brimming with mock passion, energy and laughs. The team are instantly likeable and the fact that they genuinely make each other laugh on stage with their lightning quick improvs somehow makes the thing work better. Deftly synchronised and daftly chuckleworthy ... after an hour’s intrigue and helpless laughter you’ll have no defence.
LONDON NEWSPAPER GROUP
|
The show itself is a miracle of a few case-establishing set-ups and some incredibly fast thinking ... It’s so fast and furious it’s almost exhausting ... the cues are so sharp ... Any show that makes a Tuesday evening feel like a Friday night has to be a potential group outing!
WHAT’S ON
|
A fast-moving courtroom farce with enough one-liners and inventive changes to keep the show upbeat to the end. This revival once again draws admiration for quick-witted improvisation.
THE STAGE
|
A remarkable display ... I was treated to one of the best nights of improvisation I have seen ... There were some wonderful moments, alas, never to be repeated ... but they have hit on a good formula here and there should be plenty more. If you like improvisation this is a must and if you’re not sure it will probably convert you.

It is certainly worth seeing in order to admire the skills of a talented group of performers and their amazing ability to create humorous situations on the hoof. If it gets punters into the ‘live’ theatre and enjoying themselves it’s worth its weight in gold.
WATFORD OBSERVER
|
This is a fun evening which achieves its purpose of being entertaining and of amusing a large audience who gave it a rousing reception.
HATFIELD TIMES
|
Highly entertaining ... the team is sure-footed ... confirms all your worst suspicions of British justice!
